The Bordenave field, located at the heart of the Jurançon appellation in Monein, is one of the oldest properties of the area, exploited by father and son or girl since 1976.
Following important investments in the wine storehouses and of the reorganization of the vineyard, the field presented its first vintage year in 1993.
Favorite wine of the wine Guide Hachette 2004 :
• Our 5th participation in the Vinexpo,
• Classified first wine of the Jurançon by the magazine: Vignoble and Co
"Gisèle Bordenave has done extremely well. The sweet Cuvée des Dames 2001 was thougnt remarkable, while the sweet Harmonie 2001 and the dry Souvenirs d'Enfance 2002 win one star. Meanwhile, the Cuvée Savin delighted the Grand Jury with its intense golden appearance. The glass releases a parade of crystallized exotic fruits with a touch of truffle. The very tasty flavours combine perfectly with the oak, then the fruity finish sees a pleasant return of the freshness. This full wine is already superb and has great potential."
• 10 years birthday of the Field on September 20, 2003,
Bordenave, it is all the attachment of a family to exalt the roots of a soil. Here, our bonds are old, sincere and generous, and we always remained humble in front of the force of the ground and the value of each moment. Making Jurançon is a school of art and patience, an art where time is never really controlled, because we always privilege the permanent research of quality to that of the quantity. It begins from the vine plant until the bottle where the wine will emerge from.
